Desktop

Logicity Desktop is used to view Crystal Reports and to execute/run Logicity solution files.

Solution Builder - Main

The Logicity Solution Builder is used to select how a Crystal Report will perform when executed. (View, print, export, or save) Multiple reports can be grouped together under the same solution.
The professional version adds controls for features such as setting passwords, encrypting the solution file and activating workspace mode.

Solution Builder - Wizard

Display Name Enter a name to describe the action.
File Name Browse to the Crystal Report (RPT) file.
Database Information Enter the database user name and password. If no information is entered, Logicity will prompt the user to enter when the report is executed.
Parameters If the report has parameters, you can have Logicity prompt the user when executed or you can pre-define the parameters to be used when executed.
Set Action (Free) Specify how the report will be executed. A report can be viewed on the screen, printed, exported, or saved.
Set Action & Screen Controls (Professional) The professional version of Logicity allows for the disabling of all of the screen controls on the viewer. This can be used to restrict users ability to print or export reports.
Logging (Professional) Enable logging to a shared directory whenever a user performs the selected action.
Setting Runtime Variables (Professional) Logicity Pro supports the use of variables inside of Solution Builder and will be evaluated at runtime. Variables can be placed into any text field in Solution Builder and are inserted by right-clicking the field, going to Insert Variables, and choosing the variable you'd like to insert. These variables can be inserted before, after, or within text you've already entered in the field.

Solution Builder - Scheduling

Scheduling reports can be done through this interface which integrates with Windows Task Scheduler.

Solution Builder - Password Protecting (Professional Version)

Logicity solution files can be set-up to require a password before the solution/report can be executed.

Solution Builder - Encrypting (Professional Version)

Logicity solution files can be encrypted in order to hide the database login information from end users.

Workspace Mode

Logicity Workspace Mode is a convenient way to organize and run Crystal Reports. Instead of having a separate shortcuts to each available Crystal Report on a user's desktop, a single solution file can be created that includes each available report. When the "Workspace Mode" is toggled to ON in the solution file, Logicity Workspace will open the solution file when executed instead of Logicity Desktop. This allows the user to run any of the Crystal Reports (or other files) individually, as needed.

Logicity - Product Registration

After purchasing Logicity Professional, users receive an e-mail with a registration code. This product registration screen will be used to enter the license code which unlocks all of the Logicity Professional features.
