Connection Error 08 Feb 2008 00:19 #90

I came across a previous post on a connection problem but it didn't resolve my issue. T'm trying (for the first time) to execute an rrd file. It connects to the Crystal report then gives an error: Failed to open connection. I double-checked the ODBC parameters and can connect to the database in the ODBC Data Source Administrator but I still get this error. Is there somewhere that I overlooked where I need to configure my Logicity setup to use the ODBC or is it automatic. In any case, does anyone know why I can't connect. I'm running on Windows XP, Crystal Reports XI and connecting to a remote server. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Patrick,
I know that you checked your ODBC settings in the control panel and verified that it worked. Another thing to check would be to make sure that your data source name is exactly the same on the Crystal report as it is in your ODBC settings in the control panel. If these two do not match up the report will not open.

Thanks!

Hi Matt -
Thanks for the information. That's exactly what it was. Once I created a new ODBC connection using the same data source name, it worked. I was running into a brick wall with this one. Your help is appreciated.
