I've just started testing the free version of Logicity. I can not connect and view a crystal 8.5 rpt file that requires an ODBC connection; it seems that it attempts to run for a while then it stops with the msg "unknown error 0x80004005". The rpt file runs fine thru crystal. The data source name is the same in crystal as it is in ODBC. Your response is appreciated.

Have you tested other reports from the same Data Source and they run ok? If you have a different version of Crystal like 10, 11, or 2008 try saving the report in another version. Also, is this a solution file you created or are you using Logicity Desktop?

Yes, I use this data source for many of my other reports. I get the same result when I run this rpt from the desktop and as a Logicity solution action.
I will try running it as a version 11 and see if I get different results.

I saved this rpt as a version 11 rpt and it works fine thru Logicity. It seems that it had to do with the way the tables were linked. I have tested running a few other 8.5 rpt files with Logicity and all worked fine.
