I'm attempting to run a report using the free Solution Builder, but I'm getting an error that says Database Login Failed.
I'm obviously not setting the action up properly. Which ODBC settings go where in the action configuration?
Thanks in advance!

Make sure that you're setting the ODBC connection up using the 32-bit version of ODBCAD32 on the target computer. Then all you should need to fill in is the username and password.

Thanks!

How do I "unconfigure" it in the 64bit version? Do I just delete the data source?

Do I need to point the Solution Builder to the 32bit version in some way?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yep, just delete it from the 64 bit version of ODBCAD32 if you do not need it. It shouldnt really matter. Logicity is a 32-bit application so it only looks at the 32 bit ODBC configurations.

Thanks!

It didn't work. My data source is configured as a 32-bit data source.
I can still connect to the database through my other software, but not with Solution Builder.
I must be entering the wrong things into the wrong fields of the action configuration.
What is referred to by Database Server and Database Name on the Database Info tab?
Which things in ODBC administrator correspond to those?
Thanks, again!

Hello,

Can you try not filling in Database Server or Database Name. Only fill in user name and password and see if you have any luck. Thanks!

No dice.

When I open the report file, it loads up in Logicity Desktop.

The Server Name field is already populated. The Database field is empty. When I put in my username and password it pulls the report no problem.

I went into the Solution Builder and filled in the database information just as I used in Logicity Desktop and it doesn't work.
