does logicity support gmail to email reports? I read on some older posts from 2010 that it does not?

No, unfortunately we have not been able to get that functionality built in as of yet. It is on our feature request list.

Is this the case only with gmail or all the other service providers?

The feature we do not yet support (and is required by Gmail and potential other providers) is SSL encryption for SMTP connections. Does your provider require that as well?

Yes, for sure. When we have looked into this in the past we have found that adding this support shouldn't be to far of a stretch for us and intend to add it in an upcoming release.

Hello!
SSL Encryption is now supported in the new Logicity 1.7 release, which means you can use GMail, or similar providers as your email server.
To set up gmail, simply set your SMPT Server to "smtp.gmail.com", and set your port to 587. Then, once the "Use SSL" checkbox is checked, you should be able to use GMail as your mailing client.

I hope this helps!

Yeah, that is correct. The SSL mode is a Pro version feature.
