Is there any other way to pass parametric information to Crystal other than by Crystal Parameters?

It may sound like a strange question, but I write reports for 2 major applications that mainly use either the record selection or user formulas to pass information. The reasons for this are complex, but are partly based on the fact that the CR10 parameters are messy to use, and the prompt screen is particularly poor, so all parametric info is handled in the apps themselves.

Obviously these reports can be modified to use parameters, but I'd prefer to leave them as they are.

Parameters are the only way to pass that parametric information, *but* using Command Line Replacements you should be able to use your own interface to bypass the Crystal parameter screens. Here is a write-up on how it works:
