I have installed Logicity version 1.9.1.0 to be able to view Crystal Reports reports (for Enterprise version 4.1 SP 5) but the tool is not able to open a .rpt file. The error it shows is:
Exception could not load the report
A document document by the JRC engine can not be opened in C ++ stack
unable to load the crystal report file
I have tried to uninstall everything and reinstall it by unchecking the Crystal Reports Runtime option so that it does not install logicity and use Crystal Reports but it still does not work.

I have tried several .rpt files. One about a connection to an Excel file that I have on the same machine and another based on a connection to the SAP BO
platform that obtains data through a Bex Query.

My OS is Windows 7 Pro.

Thank you.

Follow this link and get the service pack 22 run time download for 32 bit.
Crystal reports Runtime
If you have an older SAP Crystal Reports runtime installed it will need to be removed.

Thank you,
Kevin

Thanks for your quick response.

I have installed the SAP Crystal Reports runtime that you indicate and it keeps giving the same error. Should we indicate something else to connect the two tools ?. My OS is 64 bits, do I have to download SAP Crystal Reports runtime of 32?

Thank you very much

Logicity is a 32 bit application, so it will need the 32 bit runtime. What version of .Net frame work are you using?

That .Net version should work with the SAP runtime., If you are still getting the error after installing the Crystal Reports runtime, verify that it was installed as administrator or on an account with administrator privileges.
Another thing, is the report you are trying to run on a mapped drive? If so, you will need to use the server name to resolve the location and not the drive letter assigned to it.

Thanks for your quick response.

It has been installed with a user with administrator permissions. The file I'm trying to access is local, both .rpt and .xlsx (which it does as a data source).

Thank you very much

Other things to look at would be the odbc connections would need to be 32 bit as well. You can try to run version 1.8 to see if that could work for you.
Logicity 1.8

Otherwise you can purchase a support incident and we can schedule a remote session to see what is going on.

Thank you,

Good Morning,
I have both odbc 32 and 64 odbc. The connection exists in both files .:
- "c: \ windows \ syswow64 \ odbcad32.exe"
- "c: \ windows \ system32 \ odbcad32.exe"
I can not download version 1.8. The link does not work correctly.
Thank you very much.

Here is a different link to the 1.8 download. You should remove the SAP runtime for your system before you download and install 1.8.0009. Logicity 1.8 Download

thank you,
Kevin
