Hi,
I am running crystal report(using Oracle database) from Logicity Desktop on Windows 2008 server and get the following error :

Logicity.Common
Failed to load database information.
Error in File Report1
{DC409970-A29C-4C93-A2D8-295B011}.rpt:
Failed to load database information.

The Windows 2008 server has been installed with .NET 3.5 framework
and without installing the full Crystal Reports 2008 software. Logicity Prof was installed with the Crystal Report Runtime.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hello,

Did you install .net framework before or after you installed Logicity? If you installed it after you will need to uninstall Logicity and Crystal Reports Runtime 2008(2 separate uninstalls). Then reinstall Logicity and the Runtime. If this is not the case please make sure your ODBC data source name EXACTLY matches the name that is saved in your Crystal Report. If they are spelled different or one has an extra space at the end then this would cause the report not to run. Thanks!!

Hi,

The .NET framework has been installed before installation of Logicity and CR run time. I've to re-install the Windows 32-bit Oracle Client 11gr2 on the server and configured the TNSnames to match the name in the CR reports. Now it works fine.

Thanks for the help on this issue. :)
