Hi, I've been testing the Logicity Solution Builder v1.8.2.0 but the scheduled task constantly fails in Windows Task Scheduler. I had read in another discussion that v1.8 would dispense with the windows task scheduler all together....is that only in the Pro version (I'm using the free version for my tests).

Basically, the task fails to launch or run, see error below:

Task Scheduler failed to launch action "C:\Program Files (x86)\SaberLogic\Logicity\Logicity Desktop.exe --quiet R:\Configuration Management\Crystal Reports\Test Schedule2.rrd" in instance "{f382e677-2685-47b2-b04a-f88f6b32f531}" of task "\Test Schedule2.rrd". Additional Data: Error Value: 2147942667

Error Value 2147942667 translates to 0x8007010B which indicates an issue with the start program command. I've tried removing the " from the start in settings but this made no difference. I've also run this under various account with admin rights from none to super user. Also tried on a few machines, but all come out with the same error.

Any help on what else I can try would be very much appreciated.

If there are any admins from SaberLogic on-line, I'm from a very large organisation in the UK and we are looking to implement Logicity as our preferred Crystal Report viewer and scheduler so any help would go a long way to moving forward with this.

We have not released the full replacement for the scheduler yet, but that problem should already be fixed in the latest version!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the quick response. Your comment suggest this was/is a known error, but the fact that it's still present also suggests it's not yet fixed. If it is a known error, are there a work around I can employ to get the task to run? Do you have any other advice on how I can force the schedule to work?

No problem!

No, I may have not been completely clear. You had indicated you are running version 1.8.2, but this has already been corrected in the latest version that's available on the website which I believe is 1.8.6.

Ah, that might explain my confusion as I only downloaded v1.8 last week and that was v1.8.0.2. I'll look for the v1.8.6 download and test that version. Thanks!

Hello Richard,

Can you give the MSI download another try? I have updated the file to version v1.8.0006 which will hopefully fix your scheduling issues. Please let me know if you have any issues with the new download!

It looks like the email from Logicitysuite that contains the download links needs to be updated as the link to the EXE is for 1.8.6 but the link for the MSI still points to 1.8.2.

Not sure if that is by design or not?...

You are correct that was the issue. I have just updated the ZIP file that link points to which should have version 1.8.0006.
