task scheduler not working when NOT logged in 25 Oct 2016 19:53 #2424

Open the Task in Task Scheduler and make sure "Run whether the user is logged on or not" is selected on the General tab. Make sure none of the four main checkboxes are checked on the Conditions tab.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the response. The task was already setup to be "Run whether the user is logged on or not" it is also set to "run with highest privileges". I did have "wake the computer to run this task" ticked in the conditions tab. I have removed this condition as per your suggestion. The task still does not run. But it does when logged in. |

Is the account under which you're executing the task a local admin? I'm not sure if it's required, but I have a suspicion it might be.

I am executing the task under the domain admin account.
I will try local admin account and see if that makes a difference. |

Clutching at straws now...
1. Are the reports you're running located on a mapped network drive by any chance? If so try using the UNC path instead. 2. Follow-up to #1, if the reports are not stored locally, is the "Do not store password" box checked under "Run whether the user is logged in or not"? 3. Is "Run with the highest privileges" checked? If not, try that. 4. Dumb question, but I have to check it off the list... is the task enabled? |

I will try these suggestions.
I have these RRD files running fine on a 2008 R2 server. I am trying to migrate to a 2012 server. I seem to be getting a different error now on 2012. running the RRD file directly. I get the error:- Mailbox unavailable. The Server Response was 5.2.1 Mail from "IP Address" refused: spam site. (emailCrystalReport) Any suggestions? |

I am having this same issue. I'm on Server 2008, running Logicity 1.8.9.0. My rrd runs fine, manually. It runs on its schedule, if I am logged in. It does not run when I am not logged in.
The task is enabled, is set to run with highest privileges, and the password is saved. The user running the task is a local admin. I'm using a UNC path to my file. The job history in task scheduler looks like the job runs, but the emails never get sent. We had IT look at any & all permissions or other things they might identify, to no avail. At this point my workaround is to keep myself logged in, but this is impractical in the long term. Has anyone had this issue & been able to resolve it? |

UPDATE: I've found some information, and am hot on the trail of a solution. Hopefully. For now, here is what I've found. The schedule does return a status of "completed" yet has a "return code" of 3762507597.
If I check the time stamp from task scheduler and then go to Windows Event Viewer for the same timestamp, I find this: Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: CLR20r3 Response: Not available Cab Id: 0
