finally got to try this out, and it works!!! all I had to do was link a table. didn't select on it, or put a field in report.

I get the same error (invalid report file path) when running a report via Solution Builder that has tables linked and no sub-reports. Same report runs fine in Crystal and Desktop. I'm running version 1.6
The administrator has disabled public write access.
