Just install software, had no issues. When opening a crystal report the program opens, I enter parameters and get the message "Failed to open the connection. During the install I didn't see a configuration to define a connection to the database. The reports have been wriiten against a sql database and run if you have a full version of crystal installed on your PC.

Do the reports connect to the database via ODBC or OLE? If it is ODBC please ensure you have a odbc that exactly matches the DSN name in the Crystal Report (you will need a full version to open Crystal and look). Also, if you do have an odbc setup and a copy of Crystal Reports please do a database setup location in a full version of CR sometimes this clears up the issues. A set location is generally where we have people start if they are having trouble connecting to the database. Thanks!
