We are having a problem when exporting reports.
We are running on server 2003 in a terminal services environment, with logicity ver 1.6.0004

When exporting to any file format ie, excel or excel data only, we are getting the following message:

Error in File Recommended Report KP new {5046402C-4440-4C3C-AB1B-352000F1DE23}.rpt
Invalid export DLL or export format.

I have tried rolling back to ver 1.5.0013 and this works with no problem, it appears that it isnt working with the newer version.

Anyone got any ideas?

I just tried this on our Windows Server 2003 terminal server and was not able to replicate the error. When you installed 1.6.0004 did you uninstall the previous version first or did you just upgrade? It shouldn't matter, but just in case I'd recommend doing a full uninstall first and then install 1.6.0004. Back in the old Crystal 8.5 days there used to be a lot of issues with the DLLs under terminal services with a whole slew of troubleshooting techniques, but I think Logicity is past that since it is built on Crystal 2008.

We ran into a similar error message to this on another thread and have a fix I'd like to suggest if you are still struggling with this. A new installer will be available shortly that will automatically add this setting, but you need to add "c:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86" to your PATH environmental variable for any Logicity 1.6 installations experiencing this issue.
