Hi ,

We are evaluating "Logicity suite Builder" vs 1.6.0004 for our requirement to convert the crystal reports to text or csv formats.
But unfortunately we are facing an issue in both the conversion
1) Conversion to .txt file :- There are some characters getting truncated in the generated file
Example : 9/2/2008 in crystal report gets converted to 9/2/200 (8 gets truncated)
Also the figure 6,387,929,070.00 in crystal report gets converted to 6,387,929,07 (last three digits including the decimal gets truncated which actually has a big impact).

2) Conversion to .csv file :- While converting the crystal report to csv format, the data gets duplicated.

Can you please look into this issue and guide us on what is wrong here?

Thanks
Mayank

Hi Mayank,

Do you experience the same issues if exporting directly from Crystal Reports? What version of Crystal Reports was the report developed in?

Thanks!

Thanks Brian for your response.

The reports are created using Crystal Reports version 7. When we open the reports using Logicity Desktop, the values are perfect.
The truncation only happens when we try to export these reports.

Is there any older version of Logicity which supports Crystal reportsVersion 7? Or is there any way we can get rid of this difficulity?

Thanks

Hi Mayank,

Well, Logicity 1.5 is built in Crystal XI and Logicity 1.6 is built in 2008. With issues in exporting like this, I would expect the same problem to occur in Crystal as well because for exporting we use the built in Crystal export functions.

In our older versions there is a much older version of the software called RPT Tool which was built around 8.5, you could try that as well but at this time it is unsupported.

Thanks!
Brian
