We are creating a job using the Logicity Solution Builder 1.6.3047 to run a Crystal Report and export it to a pdf document. The file that is generated is missing about 300 pages versus when it's exported from the Desktop or Crystal Reports.

Is there a resolution to this problem?

I've tried it on a couple of different machines and I've also enabled the log but it only shows my parameters.

Hi,

Hmm, this is going to be a tough issue. The export function is all maintained by the Crystal Reports API directly. If you are experiencing the same issue in Crystal Reports as you experience in Logicity, this makes sense but it also limits what we can do to address this issue.

If you are testing version 1.6, it may be worthwhile to test it in version 1.5 as well. Version 1.6 was built around Crystal Reports 2008 where as version 1.5 was built around version XI. If this was a bug introduced in Crystal 2008 then that may help.

What version of Crystal did you develop and test this with initially?

This report was built in Crystal Reports 9. The export works fine in Crystal and it also works fine when exporting from Logicity Desktop. The pages are missing only when exporting through the Logicity Solution Builder.

So it is only for scheduled actions that the export is truncated? I would certainly test it with v1.5 but that may be another issue.

How many pages is the PDF?

The problem only happens with Solution Builder and the pdf file is 6100 pages. The export from Solution Builder only exports about 5800 pages.

That is a very very long report, we have certainly never tried exporting a report of that length.

Thanks I will try the old version. Yes this is one of the biggest reports we have and it takes a while to export.

Hi there,

I successfully exported a smalled report (with 160 pages) but the large report is still not being exported correctly. I am now running the 1.5 version and the problem is still present.

I managed to resolve the problem with the export. It turned out that one of our report parameters was coded incorrectly so the problem has been fixed now. Thank you for all your help!
