Hello,

We have just recently CR2008, I have made a report (consisting of 1 table only) with parameters in it. The application is Lotus Notes where I retrieve the data from.

Now I was looking to let others run reports (as viewers) and I stumbled upon Logicity.

I looks very promising (if I can get it to work, properly we will purchase the Pro version). On my own PC (where CR2008 is installed) Logicity works perfect.

But when I go to another PC (I set the ODBC correct, same as mine. Install: next, next, ok) Logicity will open the .rpt file, shows what is in the report (stored data). When I refresh it, it gives an error

Crystal Windows Form Viewer
The connection can not be opened
The connection can not be opened
name of the report{BA9181EA-1337-4570-99A7-FBD75D11C79D}.rpt

Anyone any idea??

The person I tried has access to the database, I did not provide the ODBC with a password (I did not need it)

Hi,

Have you tried removing the Save Data With Report?

Thanks!

Yep, both tried, with and without saving data.

Starting to think that it has something to do with rights and ODBC.
I have also put that question out to our system administrators

SOLVED,

The problem was with the authentication of the user.

Replaced some settings (verification on ODBC) now the report refreshes....

Another problem has occured, put I drop that in a new post..

Grtz.
